How do you make your Cannes Film Festival debut count? If you’re Lily Collins, it’s all about enjoying every moment. Collins was at the festival to promote her upcoming Netflix project, Okja, alongside castmates Tilda Swinton, Paul Dano, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Seo-Hyeon Ahn. The story of a little girl who risks it all to save her animal best friend from an evil corporation, the movie was among the festival’s buzziest titles, which meant plenty of interviews, photo calls, and press events for Collins.
The schedule, of course, called for multiple outfit and beauty changes along the way, and Collins handled each transformation like a pro. Whether she was bringing the drama in a Ralph & Russo gown at Okja’s premiere or posing on her hotel room’s balcony in sparkling Prabal Gurung, Collins and her stylists, Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, packed as much fashion into her trip as possible.
Still, the week wasn’t all work: Collins made time for an ice cream break along the Croisette, a selfie with Swinton, and a nice glass of rosé. Above, the star shares her personal photos from the experience, offering a candid look at what it’s like to take in Cannes for the very first time.
